Capturing the Action
Grayson reached out to me to acquire some final images for his race resume. He is a local 15 year old MTB athlete racing in enduro and downhill disciplines. He also coaches for Galbraith Gravity Racing in his spare time while he's not out riding or at school.

Shoutout to Grayson's mom for getting him out early to catch the light and for giving us a lift to the trail!
Like a lot of PNW locals, this kid rips!
Is it the bike? The shoes? The water?
Grayson is on a Transition Spire and is wearing the Ride Concepts Flume shoes.

We stopped at all the features, including this one that I couldn't seem to frame up the way I wanted to from the front. I stepped back, saw this angle and went for it. It's one of my personal favorite images from the session!

I was hoping for a shot like this!
This was the very last image shot. I was stoked to get this pan on only one attempt, as we were losing light fast! Pans are very handy to get in low light conditions, as my usual "safe" shutter speed for such applications is about 1/30th of a second.

Getting creative.
Trying to find a composition that will show the magnitude of a jump is a fun task! I wish we had more time on this feature, but these days the light can fade away fast... especially when you're having fun!
